We are technology neutral and believe in well-tested, robust code. Much of our platform and integrations are built in GoLang/Java with areas of C++, TypeScript and C#. We use Open Source technologies (such as CoreOS, etcd, Fleet, Docker, Prometheus, gRPC, Unreal) and give back to the community through open-source contributions when we can.
As a QA Engineer in the Infrastructure Team at Improbable, you’ll be responsible for designing, building and deploying the tools and pipelines which underpin the efficient delivery, deployment, testing of our large-scale, real-time, distributed platform.
The Infrastructure team builds and manages the deployment of flexible services and tooling which allows Improbable to rapidly scale whilst delivering a seamless experience to our customers.
- Review product and technical documents and provide meaningful feedback - Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases - Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities - Design, develop and execute automation scripts, integrate new software project into current CI/CD tools. - Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved - Work with Development Team to identify, record, and track bugs
Competencies - At least 5 years of experience in the software industry with a focus in performance testing & functional testing - Understand differences between containers, cloud, virtualization and configuration management Configure and run tests to identify bottlenecks in the systems - Experience defining performance test strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders Strong technical programming skills utilizing a variety of different coding languages and tools - Experience of the following would be advantageous - Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, SDB, EKS), web console & command line tools - Experience with build CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/BuildKite - Experience preparing for a security audit - Experience with Go programming language Experience of developing TA frameworks
