职责描述： Global Product Management - Steel Ladles Specialist
General - Achieve and maintain a lean product portfolio that: o Brings new innovations to the market quickly. o Provides Sales with enough brand options to satisfy market demands. o Gives flexibility to SCM. o Simplifies everyday life for Operations. o Reduces working capital. o Maximizes profitability. - The first level of Global PM, within the Sales organization, is organized by product group, has a more internal focus with a “business perspective” linked to profitability. - The second level of Global PM is organized by customer application and has a more external focus. These team members are the global experts for their product group/application.
Global Product Management – Steel Ladles Specialist; - As part of the MgO-C, AMC, tapholes team, the Global PM – Steel Ladles Specialist will have as main responsibilities: o Be the global reference for Steel ladle products, designs, best practices and complex troubleshooting; o Interact with the regional BU’s to support existing and new businesses; o Ownership of the R&D projects related to Steel Ladles and support their roll out to customers; o Be present at customers on special request or roll out of key technologies; o Promote global benchmarking of products, practices and designs; o Serve as focal point of the Global Product Management in China to facilitate interaction with the China Sales and China R&D. Other important interfaces:
R&D - Definition & ownership of R&D projects via collecting & consolidating market requirements and strategic input. - Stakeholder for the definition of the roll-out plans to the respective production plants and to the market.
Systems & Machinery (4.0) Interface to anticipate & help define development requirements; - Interstop (e.g. Ladle & Tundish Gates, Argon-systems etc.) - Machinery Department (e.g. Terminator, Slurry gunning automation) - Agellis (e.g. Ladle slag detection, Tundish level control etc.) - Automation (e.g. Ladle prep area, Ladle shroud and Monotube Changer)
Operations - Continuously optimize product portfolio (product & recipe availability) based on market requirements & raw material concepts. - Define product specifications. - Periodic review of the complaint status and stakeholder for joint definition of necessary countermeasures.
Sales / Technical Marketing - Drive implementation of product portfolio changes. - Drive implementation of new products. - Providing technological expertise to support regional TM.
Refractory Engineering Stake holder/Interface function to define product design standards.
Candidate requirements: - Engineer, with more than 5 years of experience in the refractory and/or Steel Industry; - Fluent in English; - Extensive knowledge of refractories, especially on their application and use; - Good knowledge of the Steelmaking process; - Flexibility to travel every other week; - Good communication skills; - Curiosity, creativity and ability to influence others;
