Mission of the role: • The Project Manager leads the planning and implementation of complex China innovation, renovation, roll-out programs and projects, with the coordination of central/global teams. Accountable for leading China commercialization process, ensuring all launch and business criteria are achieved on multiple projects simultaneously. This includes the execution of projects to meet multiple project parameters, including project scope, market timing, cost, quality, multiple stakeholder expectations, and other defined and undefined requirements. Applies leading edge web-based portfolio and project management processes and business/product development/supply chain knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to commercialization project activities to meet or exceed customer expectations and achieve on-time ship-to-trade delivery.
Main responsibilities & KPIs: • Leads with minimal supervision, and is accountable for, as one process, the planning, evaluation and implementation of complex China innovation, renovation and roll-out projects. • Assesses project requests from the category teams. Provides preliminary technical, logistical, cost, timeline, customer service, risk/benefit and other feasibility implications. Ensures launch success criteria are clearly defined. • Develops project implementation plans, including resource allocation, critical path timelines and risk/contingency options. Ensures project timelines (MS Project) include cross-functional input and decision points. Oversees and ensures alignment of critical workflows with the project plan. • Ensures that project activities/timelines for multi-faceted projects are integrated. • Leads multi-site, cross-functional commercialization implementation teams and oversees coordination/execution of activities. Manages project scope, cost, timing, and quality. Identifies and resolves team/project issues that may impact deliverables. • Manages project communication to business teams across the organization. Assesses and facilitates critical project decisions with business teams and/or sr. management to ensure project priorities are optimized. • Manages project financial risk and contingency planning (COG's, CAPEX, etc.) • Tracks process metrics and project success criteria. Reports performance measures. Ensures post-launch reviews are conducted. • Conducts or facilitates root cause investigations when project or process deviations occur, and identifies resolutions or corrective actions. • Applies leading edge web-based portfolio and project management processes and business/product development/supply chain knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to commercialization project activities to meet or exceed customer expectations and achieve on-time ship-to-trade delivery. • Utilizes and populates leading edge web based project management processes and tools with project data (timelines, agenda's, minutes and other critical project information).\ • May require the supervision and training of a project coordinator Place of the role in organization (team size, reporting lines etc.): • Direct reports: Project Coordinators if applicable
Job dimension (key metrics of complexity): • Projects supporting category/region within ELN China • Global brands (Aptamil & Nutrilon) and a mosaic of Regional/Local brands (C&G, HappyBABY) • Two main categories of play (milks and first diet) with many segments: hospital range, IFFO, GUM & YCF, tailored nutrition solutions in 3 cares (allergy, GI, growth), UHT, in Greater China region. • Cross brand projects including Direct International products rollouts, packaging renovations, etc.

Education & professional experiences needed: • Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree Managerial competencies and personal skills needed: • Operational Skills o Methodology o Process o Timeline o Status Update o Meetings o Project Plans o Issues Management • Leadership Skills o Communication o Focus o Motivation o Collaboration o Action o Determination o Inspiration Required: • Minimum 6-8 years project and/or commercial management experience • Broad business experience in nutritional/healthcare/consumer products organization and understanding of the end-to-end commercialization of consumer/healthcare/nutritional products, including ideation, feasibility, development and launch • Demonstrated exposure to product development, supply chain/operations and marketing • Computer skills, including demonstrated experience with electronic project management, resource management and document workflow tools. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or willing to undergo professional training and certification within 18-24 months of appointment • Demonstrated core competencies in team leadership/facilitation, decision-making, process management, analytical skills, negotiating and conflict-management skills, risk management, and written and oral communication • Highly developed collaboration skills • Travel: 10%
